Since early 2014, Maine Brewing Supply has been working with local head brewers/brewery owners to create clone recipes for their beers! Now you can brew like a local as we are continuously lucky enough to have many brewers enthusiastically join us on this endeavor!

Our Brew Local™ Bissell Brothers Swish kit was created in collaboration with head brewer Noah Bissell from Bissell Brothers Brewing Company. Clocking in at a 95 rating on Beer Advocate, Swish is the Bissell Brothers' tribute to the all-American Double IPA. Boat loads of Mosaic and Citra hops combine with American and European malts to create an insanely drinkable 8.0% hop bomb.

THIS IS AN ADVANCED KIT. To properly make this beer, you will need to do the following: adjust your water profile to that of a light and hoppy ale, use yeast nutrient, be comfortable performing a secondary fermentation, properly aerate wort, pitch enough yeast and ferment at proper temperatures. Please don't hesitate to contact us regarding these extra procedures.

HOW THE BREW LOCAL™ CLONE KITS WORK

The Brew Local™ Clone kits include everything you need to get started brewing. The kits have specialty grains, grain bag, hops, fermentable sugars (liquid/dry malt extract, etc.), priming sugar, bottle caps, dry yeast and instructions.

While you’ll be brewing like a pro with these kits, you’ll also be doing some good to the community as well. Maine Brewing Supply donates a percentage of the proceeds from each Brew Local kit to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center…You’ll also be helping make a local brewer’s dream come true – Noah Bissell has always dreamed of having one of his recipes become a clone kit!
